You won't get a good college through WBJEE.Even, only three colleges are famous and good in West Bengal. For taking It its really hard to get a good college over there.Jadavpur NIT Durgapur IIEST, Shivpur
Its not possible with this rank to seek admission in above mentioned colleges apart from these others are not that good to go with.
From this year you have to pay RS 35000 if you are in general category or OBC/NCL category or GEN/EWS category and for ST/SC/PWD/GEN-EWS-PWD you have to pay a amount of RS 15000 at the reporting centre.
Hello your decision to pursue post-graduate education would definitely have a significant impact on your long-term career prospects As you may be aware, IIT Delhi was recently recognized as an Institution of Eminence (IoE) by the Government of India. At IIT Delhi, most of the academic Departments/Centres/Schools offer M. Tech. and Ph.D. programmes, while some of them also offer an M.S. (R) programme. Major policy changes now permit the student to switch from one programme to another any time after one semester of joining. For example, a candidate joining an M. Tech. programme can apply for the switch to a Ph. D. programme in the same Department (or even in another eligible Department), after completing 12 credits of courses with a minimum GPA of 8.0. All his/her credits, if relevant to the new programme, can be transferred and thus make his/her transfer to the new programme as a student with advanced standing. Similar, flexibility exists for switching between other programmes. For more details please read http://www.iitd.ac.in/brochure/information-brochure.pdf Now for IISC:IISC is India's premier research institute. They have latest facilities and well equipped labs. Most of the faculty members are quite friendly and are also doing good research. Students end up spending 6-7 years on an average for a PhD. There have been issues regarding the administration which is reportedly bad but it ofcourse would look good on your resume if you do your PhD from IISC. Also it is important to have a good advisor/ instructor throughout the PhD journey as during it you would have to produce papers having quality and in good quantity. Moving on to NCBS: It used to be a part of IISC but has now relocated to GKVK. They both almost provide the same facilities but obviously IISC has seen it for more number of years, is old and known to almost every person in the science domain. IISC has world ranking in life science but NCBS has reportedly higher funding and special focus on biology. One major factor that enhances the quality of life on campus is their on-campus child-care and after-school program. They aim to provide a facility that recognizes the needs of working parents while providing children with a nurturing environment. Life is already hard for a PhDstudent and there is cut throat competition in IISC so if you want to have peace while doing your PhD you might consider NCBS as a better option. All this being said all the three are amazing in their own ways however if I were to choose I would not go just by the name and fame. I would have chosen NCBS as it is primarily foccused on life science research but what I choose should not be important. It is your decision so make it on your own. All the best.
Hello Vishal,
Textile technology in IITD is not good as the name and fame of the institute. This branch is almost useless. Its very hard to get job after this and getting good marks is more difficult.
So it's advise for you that not to go for textile technology.
Good luck
Hi Aspirant
Your question seems to be a little ambiguous and I cannot seem to be able to understand what information you are looking for.
Are you talking about UG Admissions or other admissions.
Moreover for admissions in IIT Delhi there are examinations at National Level and no other specific branch related examination as far as I know.
Hope this helps. All the Best.
I see that you have a good rank in JEE advanced that is 759 and in ews category 40 rank.
You want to join MNC in IIT Delhi. Now if I see previous year closing rank then I find that your cell is almost double than required rank.
Now as ews has been included first time in JEE. So we don't have any record. So nothing can be said .
Just hope for best .
Thank you.
hey mukul,
IIT Delhi for cilvil is anyways a better choice because in B.Tech offer 799 seats and have 11 B.Tech prgrammes, whereas IIT Jodhpur has only 247 seats and has only 4 B.tech programmes. so IIT Delhi is a preferable choice for civil Engineering than Jodhpur
all the best!
