First thing first, does your son or you feel that the NIT you are in is not delievering to you? if yes or either no, i wont recommend you to change a college. if the environment is not good along with education and placements then you can consider it otherwise

You have to score minimum of 75% marks in your plus 2 or intermediate stage to appear for the exam.

The 75% is only for three subjects pcm.

You should have a cumulative of 75% in these 3 subjects.
