54000 category rank is very high and you wont be able to get a decent college. 

Though with OBC and home state quota, there might be an increased chance of you getting a seat but with such a rank it is very hard to get a good college

I would say that it is difficult but I believe that some of the institutes may give you chance till the seventh round especially the IIT Dhanbad ( formerly Indian School of Mines).
