I want to do Mtech(civil) in NITs.Does the GATE score varies from stream to stream (geotech, Transportation, structural etc..,)??

Swati Rani 4th Oct, 2018

Hello Rakesh,

As you are aware that, for selection in different like IIT- Delhi, Madras, Bombay, IISC- Bangalore etc. and different NIT's., Gate score is required. Score required in IIT is higher than required in NIT. In general, if we see, gate score required for structural engineering is highest, followed by geotechnical engineering, construction management, transportation, environmental engineering, water resources engineering, rock engineering and so on. But this sequence is not fixed as well. Some institute are famous for particular specialization and may have higher cut off for it. It also depend candidate choice as well.

I hope this was helpful

Best wishes for future endeavors!

This is Good MBA in Abroad After Mtech In India Which Things are requried to join MBA in Abroad tell me good Or Bad?

Azim Musa Shaikh 26th Sep, 2018
Yes, definitely.

But one should do it for learning management skills and not to just accumulate degrees.

Please note that five years after your MBA, your degree does not really matter much. What really matters is the work done by you in those 5 years.

Make sure that you choose the right track and work very hard & smart in the first 5 years of your careerto get consistently very good results.

Dont leave the results to luck. You should work hard and smart to get results.

Please note that your $uccess in life depends not much on just one factor/ capability of yours, but it depends on the portfolio of your capabilities as stated below:

YourVision(To develop this, read about very successful business leaders and companies. Also, read about projections by experts like McKinsey & Co. of where the world is heading in the next 2550 years.) Make sure that you read a financial news paper like The Economic Times (when you are in India) or The Wall Street Journal (when you are abroad) to get daily updates on the changing business environment.

Getting on theright trackwhich is in line with your passion and capabilities (Marketing, Finance, HR, Manufacturing..)

Yourpersonal drive(which pushes you to do something more, better & smarter all the time)

Your ability to Plan, Organize& act to get results

YourProject ManagementSkills

YourLeadership Skills(Ability to lead, motivate, direct teams to get the plannedresults)

Quality, Quantity and Speed of your decisions/work

YourCommunication Skills, Interpersonal Skills & Public Speaking Skills(You should learn to communicate effectively with very large teams.)

Quality of your English language communication skillsif you want to go up the ladderin the corporate world. (English Grammar, Vocabulary, Pronunciations, Public Speaking)

YourSocial & Interpersonal Skills(You should learn to interact with different types of people from different countries in different social settings. You should not be a shy person or a loner.)

Thanks,
