There's no percentile in jee advanced. There's only rank.
This is a bit difficult to predict the rank required in to get a seat as cut off keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like
----------) number of students that appeared in the jee advanced exam,
----------) kind of marks obtained by them ,
----------) toughness level of the examination ,
----------) number of seats available for the branch you want etc.
But yes,
When we go through previous year trend then ,
In round 6 of josaa counselling, 2020 , 5700 rank in jee advanced for general category closing rank for gender neutral in IIT bhu for mechanical engineering
You can check the same at
So, for mechanical in iit bhu, you need to get at least around 5700 rank in jee advanced.

Dear candidate,
I would advise you not to go Kakatiya University.
Ku students have been complaining about the poor curriculum structure , lack of labs , teachers etc.
The exams are messed up too , plus there are alot of unnecessary holidays.
So chose a different alternative.
Hope I answer your question and it's helpful.
All the best!
Hello Aspirant,
If we go through previous year's data of seat allotment On the basis of data mentioned in the question by you, you can go for the enlisted colleges :-
National Institute of Technology Patna - Computer Science and Engineering (2480)

Good Luck for your future!!
Hi,
You should get in top 100 of your respective course .
For computer science it's more higher
Anyway some of the geotechnical course cutoff rank was near to 230 for jntu
Osmania has higher cutoff than jntu being a premier institute and better placement
https://www.google.com/amp/s/engineering.careers360.com/articles/ts-pgecet-cutoff/amp
The closing rank for open category (general) in TS PGECET was nearly 2508 in Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTU) and 2500 in Osmania University (OU). But still, we cannot surely predict the closing rank for JNTU and OU for current year. You can get an idea based on the previous year rank list. Also the admission varies based on the number of applicants and many other factors. So better give a try and apply for admission if you want to get into JNTU and OU.
Hope this helps
Wish you luck
Hi Vardhan,
Based on the cutoff trend of the last two years for Raghu Engineering College, Visakhapatnam, it is very unfortunate to inform that it will not be feasible for your friend to secure a seat in the college in any discipline. A rank, at least lesser than 40,000, would have been required to get him a seat.
Please find attached further details of the same here:
https://www.careers360.com/colleges/raghu-engineering-college-visakhapatnam/cut-off
Yes, if you have preferred it as a higher option and willing to take a seat in that college. But if you have a seat in Osmania University and you think you won't get seat in your JNTUH, take admission there. It's mechanical branch, you can get either cs or it in next round. Better suggestion, wait for the next round.
