UPES dehradun is a good college but its fees structure is very high its around 13-14 lkh excluding hostel fees if you can afford its better to take admission because its placement is really very good and infrastructure and faculty are also very good . BOTH  the universities are private

According to AICTE rule,students from mechanical or mechatronics or aeronautical background can continue B.Tech in aeronautical engineering through lateral entry.

If you want to do this then you need to start from first year
