which is easier to get into? NIT Goa for goa domicile general category or BITS Goa btech EEE?

Virat Srivastava 29th Jun, 2021

Dear candidate, it totally depends on student giving exam. If you score marks around 310 out of 450 in BITSAT, you will get EEE in BITS Goa. However, 22712 rank was cutoff for male, general category, GOA domicile, CSE branch for NIT Goa campus. It is considered that BITSAT is easier than JEE mains, and if you perform better in BITSAT then in that case it will be easier for you to get EEE in BITS Goa.

Hope, it helps!

what is the JEE cutoff for Goa domicile general category for NIT Goa electrical and electronics engineering?

Akash Singh 28th Jun, 2021

Dear student,

Are you asking previous year cutoff of electrical and electronics engineering in NIT Goa for Home state general candidate or cutoff of this year(2021)?

Well, I will answer these both questions.

See, you must know that cutoff of JEE Main 2021 has not been released yet so obviously cutoff for 2021 session in NIT Goa has not not be released. Out of four sessions of JEE Main, only two sessions February one and March one has been held, and two sessions are still on hold, so there is no result or cutoff declaration yet happened. Because of the covid-19 pandemic, the April and May sessions was postpone to undefinite time.

You can check more details of JEE Main 2021 by going through the link below.

85%=in jee main 2021 with goa as hime town .will i get admission in nit goa in mechanical engineering

Akash Singh 12th Jun, 2021

Dear aspirant,

Checking your rank through Careers360 predictor it is found that you are getting rank round 143220 - 161000.

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor/result

As you have not mentioned your category so I am considering you in general category. Looking at cutoff of recent past years, unfortunately, it seems like you will not be able to make it to NIT Goa with Mechanical Engineering.

In 2020, the closing rank for mechanical engineering for home state student was

83783 and in 2019 it was 79309.

With this rank, you can look for some northeast NITs, you might be able to get some NITs.

You can check cutoffs of various NITs by going through below link.

sir i got 78.92 percentile in jee main can i get nit Goa? Any group?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 5th May, 2021

Hi

You have not mentioned the category you belong to so assuming that you belong to general category

Your profile suggests that your homestate is Andhrapradesh so you will be eligible for other state quota in NIT Goa

With  78.92 percentile

I am extremely sorry to tell you but with above predicted rank you have a low chance in NIT Goa

For example,

In 6th round of josaa counselling 2020, closing rank for gender-neutral for general category was 35494  rank    under other state in NIT Goa and it was for civil engineering

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

Above prediction is on the basis of past year data but  cut off/closing rank for colleges keeps changing every year depending upon many factors like number of students that appeared in the examination, difficulty level of the JEE main question paper for different shifts etc so

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee main college predictor is provided below

You need to get at least around 97 percentile to get a seat in NIT GOA . To improve your score in remaining sessions of JEE main you should focus on your preparation go through previous year question papers ,mock test papers and to help you in your preparation we have jee main knockout out for you, for which  is provided below

I had got 90 percentile in JEE mains can I get nit goa I am from sc category

sheemaashraf123 30th Nov, 2021
It depends upon the JEE Main and JEE Advance cut offs, If You manage to qualify the exam by achieving the cut off, You can apply for JOSAA Counselling. It should be noted the cut off for EWS/SC/ST/FEMALES/OBC category is lower than the general category

If you manage to qualify JEE Main Cutoff, You would be eligible for JEE Advance which is the intake exam for IITs as mentioned above.

However It is usually advised to fill the choices as per the preference of colleges and departments, for example CSE in NIT Trichy is your priority followed by CSE in NIT Warangal, you can fill CSE at NIT Trichy at serial number 1 and CSE at NIT Warangal at serial number 2 and so on and so forth. However to get any NIT, you must have qualified JEE Mains and to get any IIT, you must have qualifies JEE Advanced

But the previous cut offs of colleges should be taken in consideration, it is better to research over the cut off of colleges then make a preference list of colleges and fill accordingly

For the college preferences and the courses provided by these colleges and to know which colleges participate in the JOSAA counselling, please go to the below mentioned link: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/josaa-participating-institutes/amp

how much percentage should one get in order to get into nit??

Anurag Khanna 9th Mar, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

See there is no any minimum percentile required to be eligible for admission in NITs for any category because the seat allotment process is based on the rank of candidate but if you are General candidate and wants to get into any NIT then you should at least try for 96-98 percentile in JEE-Main 2021 . See the qualifying cut-off percentiles which needs to be cleared by any candidate to sit in JEE-Advance is released along with the final result of JEE-Main and for JEE-Main 2021 the final result will be released after all four attempts will be completed and the final result will be on the basis of your best score amongst different attempts. However basis on previous year's cut-off trends we can help you with the expected qualifying cut-offs for this year :-

  • Common Rank List (CRL) - 90- 95 Percentile
  • GEN-EWS - 70- 75 Percentile
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 70- 75 Percentile
  • Scheduled Caste (SC) - 50- 55 Percentile
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 40- 45 Percentile
  • PwD - 1-2 Percentile

Note that in above table it is not the actual cut-off for JEE-Main 2021 but expected on the basis of previous year's analysis. You can check out previous year's cut-off trends from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff
