National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli
Hi,
Over 160 companies participate in the placement process every year. The average compensation during the current year is over Rs. 4.75 lakhs with the highest being $125,000 per annum (one of the three selected from all over India is from NITT; the other two being from IITs). The institute enjoys best placements when it comes to PG programmes.
Hope this helps.
HELO BADHR Congratulations for your result and qualifying JEE mains. since it is very difficult to predict the exact rank but we do have a backup> we have a formula to calculate the expected rank that is (100 – Total percentile) x 869010/100. So according to formula your expected rank for present percentile for January session comes out to be 66826 . Now the expected rank might change depending on the no of candidates appearing the april session. For ex if 12 lakh candidate appear the april session then just replace 869010 by 12 lakhs. But if you score above 85 percentile then you have a very decent chance of qualifying jee mains.
Now since the official cutoffs fro college are yet to be decided but let us analyse your chances by looking into the previous year cutoffs data
After looking into the data it seems a little difficult for you to enter this institute
No worries since you have an april attempt left and most importantly baap of the exams i,e Advance which may directkly lead you into IIIts.
But if you are curious to know that which college you might land into with your percentile then you can use the college predictor link which has following features;

Hindustan Institute Of Technology And Sciences
VelTech University
Hope this helps you. We wish you the best for your future endeavours!

Hello,
NIT Trichy and IIIT Bangalore both are the well renowned colleges in the field of Engineering., but NIT Trichy is better.
Talking about ranking, then NIT Trichy is ranked 10th in best engineering colleges by NIRF, whereas IIIT Bangalore is ranked 65th. Talking about the reviews by students and experts, then NIT Trichy has obtained a satisfactory feedback.
Coming to the placements, NIT Trichy shows a good record. As, it is one of the National Institutes of Technology, various MNCs, International Companies and various other well renowned companies visit the campus for recruitments. On an average, more than 95% students get placed every year through the campus. In 2016-17 batch, 100% students were placed and in 2017-18 batch, 99% students were placed.
Talking about IIIT Bangalore, here too many well renowned companies visit for recruitments. But the placement percentage is a bit less than NIT Trichy.
So, if you are thinking of either NIT Trichy or IIIT Bangalore, then you should go with NIT Trichy.
Best Wishes.
Hi Rina,
You got 98.65 percentile in JEE main 2 exam, your rank would be approximately in between 1500 to 2500. Also, Above is the range of your possible rank. The predicted rank may vary due to JEE Main tie breaker rules for the same score. Also, you can check your expected rank using the formula:
Rank = (100-percentile)*(No. of students appeared for the examination)/100
As the no. of students appeared for Paper 2 are 112680, your rank will be around 1500. However as the no. of students in April changes, your rank will change according to that. On the basis of your percentile, you will get NIT colleges:
National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli
National Institute of Technology, Rourkela
National Institute of Technology Calicut
School of Planning & Architecture, Bhopal
School of Planning & Architecture: Vijayawada
You can also go through our college predictor to check which colleges you are eligible for through your JEE Mains score. The link for the college predictor is : https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-architecture-college-predictor
Sneha, You have not specified whether you want to inquire about your chances based on percentile secured in JEE MAIN PAPER-1 or JEE MAIN PAPER-2. So, I am going to answer your query taking into consideration that the query is about Paper2 and if your query was different, then you can let me know.
Now, to calculate your expected rank for B.Arch based on the percentile score that you have secured, you can use this formula:
So, (100 - your total percentile score) is the percentage of people ahead of you. Also, 112679 were the number of candidates who appeared for January exam.
Also, note that the ranks will change according to increase or decrease in the number of participants in the next session.
So rank formula is (100 - your total score) X 112679 /100.
Now, according to this formula, your expected rank is around 3560. The admission to any college also depends on your home state and category status and you have not given details about the same.In your case, your chances of getting NIT TRICHY are very small irrespective of your home state and gender as previous year closing rank for ALL INDIA quota for general category was 1075 and the closing rank for general category based on home state quota was 2468. So, going by previous years trends, your chances of making it to NIT THIRUCHIRAPALLI are very small.
If you want to check the previous year cutoffs, you can visit this link
https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-b-arch-b-planning
However, you have a good percentile and it could give you admission to some other NITs and many other good private institutes and hence you should try for the same.
