the M.A Mass Communications course at the University of Hyderabad is generally regarded as good as far as academics and exposure are concerned but the placements for this branch are average (3-5 lacs per annum).

First you should define what you mean by a good salary enough for your family's needs - if 4 lacs per annum is enough then yes, you can get decently placed but if you need more then you will have to either opt for a better college or work on some extra things while your time at the university of Hyderabad:

- Find and do internships in your field of mass communications with good firms and companies in Hyderabad.

- spend time earning some extra online course certificates related to your field and interests

- be in the top 10 of your batch during your M.A

- Work on your communication and English speaking skills and make them exceptional through online courses, practice using YouTube and reading books.

If you do all the aforementioned things then I do not see any reason as to why you would not get a great job (8+ lacs per annum) even when your other batchmates are unable to get placed.

Point is - do not depend much on your university degree for a good job and do extra work outside of your college responsibilities and you will have better opportunities open up.

Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College (SVEC), Tirupati, is among the 5th Best NIRF Ranked colleges in Andhra Pradesh.

More than 70% of the students get placed in the college, and from the CSE branch, 90% of students get placed.

The Average package of college is 4.1 lakh, and the highest package goes to 8 lakh. Cognizant, Infosys, Wipro, and many other product-based companies visit the college for placements.

Fees : at SSN college of engineering, The fees for Mechanical engineering BE is around 2 Lakhs INR. At MIT Chennai, the fees for Automobile engineering, is around 1.28 Lakhs INR.

Placements : SSN college had a placement rate of around 80 percent. Highest package offered was around 10 LPA, and lowest package offered was around 3 LPA. Companies like hyundai, Titan, MRF visit the campus.

MIT Chennai on the other hand, the information about the packages isn't provided, but the core companies around Chennai visit the campus for recruitment. IT Companies also recruit students.

IIIT Kancheepuram has good placements with companies Amazon, Apollo Tyres, Ashok Leyland, Daimler, Flextronics, Forbes Marshall, HCL, IBM and Larsen and Toubro visiting the campus. First of all it is strongly recommended that you have knowledge about the institute prior to locking in the choices.

As far as NIST is concerned, it was a college will good research facility, academic-industries tie up, recreational facility such as grounds for various physical games are available, medical facility provided, and a lot more.. which you can read on their official website (http://www.nist.edu/about/nistataglance.html)

Although it has a median placement package of 3 LPA for Engineering and 2.6 LPA for Architecture. You can make a better choice if you have peer reviews from alumni or students of that college which you can read on this page .

The total fee for computer science and engineering is 3.58 lakhs. with total 90 seats. The placements in this college are good . Highest salary provided by company is 5 lakh per annum and the minimum salary is about 2 lakh per annum . And the college rating is 3.2/ 5
