Being 12 Pass Out you need to give the RRB Railway Recruitment Board Examination for good Category B,C and D jobs in Indian Railways. The Exam is highly competitive as the there are huge number of vacancies and positions to be filled each year and Indian Railways is one of the more exciting organizations and provide good benefits and perks.

Perhaps if you are a Graduate, you can give the UPCE CSE Exam for IRPS ( Indian Railway Personnel Service) or the UPSC ESE Exam for IRSE Engineering Positions, both of which are Category A Positions.

Hello aspirant,

The national transporter, Indian Railways, is the biggest recruiter in the country. Every year Indian Railways announce lakhs of jobs for graduates, 10+2 and matric pass candidates.

The English will be the default language for the exam. Besides, the exam will also be conducted in Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

  • Post Names : Junior Engineer (JE), Junior Engineer (Information Technology) Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA)
  • Number of Vacancies : The vacancy has been revised from 14,033 to 13,487 (announced in 2018)
  • Recruitment stages : First Stage CBT, Second Stage CBT, Document Verification and Medical Examination
  • Exam Duration : First Stage CBT-90 minutes, Second Stage CBT-120 minutes
  • Age Limit: 18 to 33 years

Educational Qualification

JE Post: An applicant must have three years Diploma in Civil Engineering/Mechanical/ Production/ Automobile / Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation & Control Engineering/ Control/ Tools & Machining/ Tools & Die Making/ Computer Science/ Computer Engineering or B.Sc in Civil Engineering from a Recognized University/Institute.

DMS: Applicants need to complete a three-year Diploma in Engineering from any govt. recognized university or equivalent.

JE (IT): Candidates must have PGDCA / B.Sc. (Computer Science)/ BCA/ B.Tech. (Information Technology)/ B.Tech. (Computer Science)/ DOEACC ‘B’ level course of three years duration or equivalent.

CMA: Degree in Science with Physics and Chemistry with minimum 55% marks.

If you have completed your diploma you are eligible in various departmental jobs according to your course that you have completed. If you could tell in which subject you have done your diploma it will be easier to tell. There are more than 20 job profiles you can join. For further details you may go to the official website of RRB and go to the notice section you will come to know varous job opportunity.

You can also apply offline mode:

  • Obtain the application form from relevant RRB website or employment publications.
  • Fill up the application form by entering the following details – personal details, academic details, contact details, address etc.
  • Fix your passport size photograph on the assigned space.
  • Attach the following documents to the application form – postal order or bank draft, passport size photograph of the candidate, academic certificates, NOC certificate (if required) etc.
  • Send the application form to the specified address.

Railway diploma IPWE qualified candidate B.Tech. me admission le sakta h ?

Hey aspirant !!

You can't take admission on the basis IPWE diploma. You've to take admission on basis of  (10+2) science for b.tech or You have to take admission in lateral entry, the minimum requirements for lateral entry students is minimum 3 year full-time diploma.

when will be railway exams held? in 2020

Dear student,

Due to COVID-19 pandemic situation, the RRB had decided to postpone the RRB NTPC exam.

But after a long protest for issuing fresh RRB NTPC exam dates, it's finally announced the tentative exam dates.

As per the offical news, RRB NTPC is scheduled to be conducted on 15th december 2020 , tentatively in online mode, i.e, CBT.

what are jobs for pcb students in railway

Hello Aspirant,

Jobs into railways are based upon the group category so you may get job profiles into the following groups according to your qualification

  • Group D- this include posts like lower division clerk.

For joining minimum qualification is 12th pass

  • Group C-this include posts like assistant section officer

For joining minimum qualification is graduate degree and you have to clear exams like SSC-CGL

  • Group B- this includes posts like section officer

This cannot be joined directly Group D and C employees are promoted here.

  • Group A- this includes posts like IRAS,IRTS

For joining minimum qualification is graduate degree you have to clear exams like UPSC CSE

So as per your query you may get any non technical or technical job into group D of railways as a clerk, etc.

Hi,

This is a very common confusion but unfortunately you will not find any such papers. You wouldn't be able to because none of the organizations publish their question papers online or in any media.

However, you can and will probably find many memory based papers.Obviously there will be an element of uncertainty, and inaccuracy.

However I think they will be sufficient for practise and also give you a clear idea of the exam.

What are the railway protocols followed in train for going to centre for MHTCET exam?

Dear Aspirants ,

Students in Mumbai would be allowed to use local trains by showing their MHTCET 2020 admit card. The station and security officials at the stations have been instructed suitably to allow the students on the exam days. The Ministry has decided to open additional booking counters at important railway stations for the convenience of them. Indian Railways have also appealed to others to not rush to the stations and to maintain social protocols as mandated for COVID19 if they want to travel with students having obey the Sop such as put mask on face ,properly sanitize hands and maintain social distance .
