Hello Aditya,

Sardar Patel Institute of Technology is one of the top engineering college in Mumbai. As per your marks, it is difficult for you to get admission in SPIT as cut-offs are more. Also, you can enquire about your admission by filling enquiry form on their official website.

At the same try applying for more colleges.

I scored 70 in mhtcet can i get admission in vjti?I am from Maharashtra and I belong to general category

Mayank Modi 16th May, 2019

Hey Vaishnavi!

Hope you are doing well.

According to your marks in MHCET, your rank must be around 30-35 thousands. As you belong to general category, there are very less or I should say almost no chances for you to get into Veermata Jijabai Tehnological Institute, Mumbai. The maximum rank which get admission in VJTI goes around 29 thousands and that too for textile Engineering branch.

So I am very sorry to say that you have very less chances of getting into VJTI.

You can check previous years' official cutoff for VJTI here:

Hope this helps.

Good luck!

Thanks.

For 100 marks in mhtcet 2019 in SPIT Mumbai can mechanical engineering be expected?

Sonali Sahu Student Expert 16th May, 2019
Hello,
Yes you can go for electronics engineering. You can get an admission in that branch. There is no course available for mechanical engineering in SPIT.
You may not get it in 1st round but you can get it in 2nd or 3rd round of counselling for sure.
So go n check for more details in the official site of college or look into the information broucher.
If you don't find that comfortable then you can go for other colleges where you feel comfortable.
Hope it helped!

For a greater teaching faculty I should go VJTI mumbai or spit Mumbai?

Nilesh Kumar 15th May, 2019

I think VJTI has an edge over SPIT Mumbai in terms of faculty. The faculties of VJTI have done phd. and has experience of over 20 years whereas the faculties of SPIT have also phd. degree but they somewhat less experienced than faculties of VJTI. So, i think VJTI is a better option.

Spce and spit are two different college.in Mumbai, what is difference?

Twinkle yadav 4th May, 2019

Hello Vaishali,

SPCE(Sardar Patel College of Engineering) founded in 1962,has core branches only like civil, mechanical and electrical.SPCE is government-aided autonomous so it has less fee as compared to SPIT.

SPIT(Sardar Patel Institute of Technology) offers self-financed courses like electronics, computer engineering,IT.The university asked it to offer these courses under different institue but same building altogether. So SPIT was born.SPIT is autonomous.

Hope your query is answered.
