I have passed class 12 from Rajsthan board with 77% marks and I want to take addmission in Delhi university and belongs to OBC.can I get?

Sakshi Bansal 6th Jun, 2019

Hey mohit,

While 77% is fairly okay it is too low to get admission into one of the reputed colleges of du even with OBC reservation. You did not specify your course at this percentage i believe you will get BA programme in some of the off campus Colleges. You can also try the college predictor by careers360 to get a better idea, here is the link for same https://university.careers360.com/delhi-university-college-predictor?utm_source=google-search&utm_medium=paid&utm_campaign=du-college-predictor

Thanks

I have got 77% marks in 12th and I want to take addmission in Delhi university. Im in OBC. Do I have any chance? I am a biology student

Mille Sharma 6th Jun, 2019

Hey, Mohit!

The chances of you depends on the course and the college you are planning to opt. With 77% however, you are definitely eligible to get a seat in some of the schools/ colleges in DU. For more information regarding the previous year cut offs and to get an idea about the cut off trends of DU over the years, you are advised to visit the following link: http://www.du.ac.in/cut-off.html

Hope this helps. All the best!

Can i use my haryana ews certificate for delhi university?

Raashi Kohli 6th Jun, 2019

Hi, every state has different rules or limitations regarding the income level to include a person in the EWS category. In delhi, to belong to EWS category, a family should have annual income below 8 lacs while in Harayan, the income limit is around 6 lacs.
so unfortuantely you cannot use your haryana EWS certificate and thus have to get a new one made.

Documents required to get a new EWS certificate made:

  • Income certificate issued by a  Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar
  • BPL Ration Card(Yellow coloured)
  • AAY Ration Card (pink coloured)
  • Food Security card issued by Food & supply Dept.(GNCT of Delhi)

Authorities that can issue the 'INCOME and ASSET CERTIFICATE' for EWS category:

  • District Magistrate/Additional District Magistrate/ Collector/ Deputy Commissioner/Additional’ Deputy Commissioner/ 1st Class Stipendary  Magistrate/ Sub-Divisional Magistrate/ Taluka Magistrate/Executive Magistrate/ Extra Assistant Commissioner.
  • Chief Presidency Magistrate/Additional Chief Presidency Magistrate/ Presidency Magistrate
  • Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar
  • Sub-Divisional Officer or the area where the candidate and/or his family normally resides.

If you still have doubts regarding any part of admission to DU, you can contact the DU admission help desk through the email ID or helpline no. available at the official website.

Good Luck

How many cutt offs will delhi university release this year 2019?

snehasinha1718 Student Expert 5th Jun, 2019

Hey Yash,

Usually DU release not more than five cutoffs evey year. Rest depends on the particular college. If seats are still left that particular college may release more cutoffs on their own. For that you may keep checking the College website where you'll get all information.

Hope this is clear.

If not do ask!

Good luck!

I have scored 72.7 in 12th cbse and belongs to schedule caste. What are the chances to get admission in Delhi university in ba programme?

tyagi2001ayush_9087518 Student Expert 5th Jun, 2019
Hello yash

Hope you are doing well.
The admission in BA programme in Delhi University depends on the aggregate percentage of best four subjects,  your BFS is taken into consideration for giving admission.
Your total percentage that is 72.7% does not matter,  what matters is your BFS and a BFS near 76 or 77 is needed to get admission in off campus colleges in BA programme and  you can't expect to get admission in DU at a BFS less than 70%.
Hope I am clear.

Sir,I applied to Delhi University this week. When did I can enter the names of colleges?

Deepshikha Student Expert 5th Jun, 2019
Hey,
After filling the application form of the University of Delhi, you need to wait for the release of cutoffs and you  need not fill the college names. Once the cut offs are released, you will need to check what all colleges you are getting at your marks. Having checked that, you need to fill the University Enrollment Form and the college admission form. After that, you need to get your documents verified in the respective college(and do not forget to carry the University's form and the college's form),then pay the fees and your seats get comformed.
Hope this helps you.
Good luck.
