Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University offers Master of Technology programmes for which classes are conducted on weekends.
It offers M.Tech Computer Science and Engineering (Weekend) and M.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering (Weekend) programmes.
Master of Technology in Infomation Technology is three years part-time (Weekend) postgraduate engineering program.
Eligibility Criteria for admission to M.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering (Weekend) is as follows-
(i) Candidates should have completed B.E/B,Tech/AIME or equivalent degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering/ EEE/ Electronics Engineering/ Instrumentation and Control Engineering or
(ii) Candidates should have passed M.Sc. (Electronics/Physics-with specialization in Electronics or Solid State) with 60% marks (Cumulative)
Admission Criteria is as follows-
Admission to this weekend course will be done on the basis of marks/percentage of the qualifying degree.
Common Entrance Test (CET) or any other entrance test is not conducted for admission to this programme.
As per the admission methodology-
In case any Board / University does not award marks but provide grades, the equivalent marks would be calculated on the basis of the procedure prescribed by the Board /University. Document regarding the conversion must be provided by the candidate itself.
Also, in case a University does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing obtained CGPA with the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the resultant with 100.
Admission is done on the basis of Counselling conducted by the University. Detailed Counselling schedule is published on the University’s website and candidates have to appear for the counselling/ admission as per the scheduled dates.
Candidates have to fill the application form of the University and submit the final results of their Graduation exam and then merit list is published by the authorities and candidates are called for the Counselling on the basis of merit list.
If you are seeking admission in the academic year 2019-20, the admission dates are not announced officially by the Authorities. However, according to the 2018 admission process, candidates were required to submit the final scores by the end June 2018, merit list was displayed in the first week of July, 2018 and counselling was held in the month of July and August. So, you should stay updated to the official website of the University for the admission criteria and dates.
Also, it should be noted that GATE scholarship will not be available for students admitted in the weekend programmes.
