after bca.....doing MCA is better or MBA???
As per my knowledge, Both MBA and MCA are considered to be a prominent course that stands firm in today's business. But generally speaking, for an applicant who is more likely to take on leadership and management positions, MBA is a better path, whereas MCA is more appropriate for a student who wants to hone their technical skills.
Doing MBA from some reputed university after BCA is rather good if you are interested in management and software marketing and you don’t want to be technical person. It depends on your interest if you can talk technology well to people.
I can enlist some university for your help -
Geeta University
J.D. Birla Institute – Kolkata
Sharda University
Amity International Business School - Noida
VIT
SRM
MIT
BITS Pilani
Hi Dear,

Yes, it is absolutely worth doing MCA after doing a BCA because then you have an edge or an advantage as compared to other graduates because now you have a deeper understanding and knowledge on the subjects.
In addition to this, If one is interested and good at mathematics and in programming and want to be a software developer then go ahead with MCA but If a candidate do not want to continue with programming language or don't want to be a software developer, just fascinated with the IT sector, then in such case they can opt MBA in Information Technology .
I will advise you identify good institution which provides good curriculum, exposure and placements to the students. I recall one of my friend who did her MCA from LPU told that LPU is popular for its excellence in teaching and the infrastructure facilities the university possesses.
# It aims to be recognised internationally as one of the premier academic institutions, which contributes towards the society and industry through Research and Training, Globalization, Entrepreneurship, and Leadership.
#She also told that Ministry of Human Resource Government of India Ranked Lovely Professional University No. 2 in India in Management (Outreach and Inclusivity). LPU surpassed all IIms, including IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore and all Universities of India on Outreach and Inclusivity parameter and ranked 38th overall during NIRF 2018 Rankings.
#It's few days ago news that LPU has been ranked among top 100 institutions by NIRF 2020, MHRD,GOI which is a matter of pride.
The career prospects of MCA are Programmer Database Administrator, Application Developer, Systems, Analyst, Work as an entrepreneur, Web Designer, Career in Multimedia Applications and many more.
This University provides ample opportunities to every eligible student to secure good placement, Internships Opportunities offered by the University placement department (Division of Career Services, DCS).
Regarding placements, LPU provides great platform for placements and also prepare the students for better performance. One of my friend who pursued her studies in LPU told that last year LPU provided placement the maximum package was 5 Lacs per annum and average packages were 3.6 Lacs
I will advice you to book the seta online at the earliest.
You may explore about other institutes.
Hope this helps.
If one is interested and good at mathematics and in programming and want to be a software developer then go ahead with MCA . And if a candidate interested to be a software developer but not good at programming then still they can pursue MCA but they will have to work hard and apart from pursuing MCA they need to join additional courses to learn coding.
If a candidates do not want to continue with programming language or don't want to be a software developer, just fascinated with the IT sector, then in such case they can opt MBA in Information Technology .

Hi
MCA and MBA both are good courses.
If you want to go for technical expertise of application study of computers go ahead with MCA and if you want to enter the world of start ups and marketing go ahead with an MBA.
Log into the number second b school LPU or check the site of SRM etc.
choose a good college and start your career.
Thnaks !!
Mca is a better choice if you have a keen interest in softwares while administrative knowledge can be fetch through MBA. So depends on ur interest.
Hello Shristi
MCA is a specialisation course whereas MBA is more of generalised course. In MBA you have to go through all the aspects of business periphery. Whether marketing, finance, organisational behaviour, operation management, human behaviour etc. Most esteem B school make you go through all these subjects and in second year you can opt your major/ minor or any core course.
Whereas in MCA you will get to work on computer application, which is required in any firm. But it is limited to only one segment or vertical.
You should make decision based on whether you want to go for specialisation course or generalised course.
Good luck for your career ahead
Thanks.
MBA is much better than MCA if you have interest in that field and you can get into a good B school. But MBA requires a lot more dedication and hardwork. So if you are up for it,than MBA is more rewarding than MCA
Which degree would be prefer for jobs regular or open????
MCA and MBA are totally different.
MCA will give you specialisation in your own subjects.
It will help to enhance your skillset but only limited to your field.
MBA is a holistic development of a person in every way possible, you will be out of your comfort zone here and will learn a lot in 2 years. it will also give you a corporate exposure and lend you good packages.
So, if you want a progressive career MBA is the right way forward, And choose MCA if you want to go deep into your field. Some good colleges for MCA are
1. NIT Tiruchirappalli(Trichy)
2. NIT Surathkal
3. NIT Warangal
4. MNNIT Allahabad
5. NIT Calicut
6. MANIT Bhopal
7. NIT Durgapur
8. NIT Jamshedpur
MCA is Master In Computer Architect and MBA Is Master In Business Administration..
Both MBA and MCA are completely different fields.
MCA will give you indepth knowledge about your subject which you have already done . It will help you enhance and get more information about your subject.
If you're interested in your subject and would like to pursue it further, MCA is ideal for you.
MCA best colleges are in IIT,NIT,VJTI,SIES but the package given max is around 6L even in top MCA colleges.
While, MBA is completely different field which enhances your overall knowledge and all about managing things.
If you're interested in changing your career path or if you're interested to have a managerial position, MBA is ideal for you.
MBA from top Bschool will land you in a very good package like IIM being avg of 17L and other top Bschool avg 10-12L.
So, if you want a progressive career MBA is solution to your answer And MCA if you're keen and deeply interested in your subject matter.
All the best for your future endeavours !!
Dear Srishti,
This completely depends upon what your interests are and what carrer you want to choose in life. If you are inclined towards management roles then MBA would be a right fit for you and if you want to be in technical field then go for MCA.
Both the programs have some great career prospects. You have to analyze both options according to ROI, your skills, other options and then take an informed decision.
All the best !
MBA and MCA, both are master's degree programs, and choosing one of the two is a big confusion among the students who have completed their BCA courseorthose who are graduated in B.Sc (IT). ... On the other hand, anMBAwill lead the students towards administration, leadership and managerial career.
MBA or MCA?
Now, after learning enough about both master courses, the question is which one is better after completing BCA or B.Sc in IT. Well the answer lies within you only. You can see that there are not much difference between the salary packages if the candidate is deserving. So just clear out your dilemma by analyzing your skills, aptitude and interests. If you are more technology oriented and wish to make your career in programming, software or any other technical aspect, then you should opt for MCA. On the other side, if you are interested to move in management and administration, if you posses leadership qualities, you are interested in running your own business in future, then MBA degree is for you. Just look inside of you and see the solution is there only!
I wish you all the best.
Cheers !!

Comparing both:
- Though both MBA and MCA offer great career opportunities, they are different in nature and scope.
- While an MBA has a broader scope having to fulfill the responsibilities at the managerial levels, MCA is more of a techie concerned with the information systems and how to make the best possible use of the latest technologies.
- If student is more of a tech bore, an MCA is better for them, but if they have the gift of doing well as a team member and leader and manage people well, an MBA might be a better option for you.
A best thing which makes MCA more desirable is pay scale, MCA students are paid more when compared to the MBA. In addition to that with the increase of quality of work, students will move on to the senior positions as soon as possible within the firm in which they are employed. One can prefer MBA after BCA if they wish to choose, yet they have to decide beyond any doubt that the choice they have made will end up being valuable for them.
So based on the above interest, choose the one which interests you more.
Good Luck!
