Am I eligible for NIT. My jee score is 89%ile in gen

First of all congratulations on your score.Now let me tell you that the cutoff scenario differs every year based upon various factors.So predicting cutoffs are are not easy.Many students have misconceptions between the qualifying cutoffs and the admission cutoffs for various cutoffs.You have met the qualifying cutoff for JEE 2019.But the admission cutoff depends upon various institutes and their norms.There are category wise cutoffs.Based upon your marks you have quite good chances for admission into tne NITs,but you have to wait for the second or third round of cutoffs to be published.The first round cutoffs are always high and you will face high competition since you also belong from general category.The top NITs are:

Hi ! No you are not eligible for nit with such low percentile because to get an admission in nit you need to attain 96 Percentile minimum. Your percentile will fetch a rank of 3lacs-4lacs. Still you can check your rank with rank predictor of c360, given below.

See the marks u have scored in the JEE mains is just a bit low for u to bag a seat in the good colleges like NITs IIITs or GFTIs for pursuing ur higher studies in the field of ur interest under the btech courses as the cut off score is about 95%. U should be going for private colleges like LPU , MANIPAL , KIIT , VIT , etc. I m providing u a link for ur help.
