Assuming that you are from OPEN CATEGORY, you must have 75% or you must be in top 20 percentile of your board.
In jee mains 200+ score is sufficient to get good NITs and in advanced you must score 220+ to be in good IITs.
Work hard and give your best.

Maybe somebody have told you that for JEE Mains that your percentile must be above 90.
Percentile and score are way different parameters.
As of board exam, the mentioned detailed by me in enough.
As you are from OC category, you have to score 90% in MAINS to get good colleges. But nobody can tell the exact cutoffs. Once the exam will over, then you can know about the cutoffs.
But as you mentioned for IIT KHARAGPUR, the cut offs will be high in ADVANCED.
