The question paper for life sciences consists of basics of cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry and bio technology. So the Graduation level text books will help you for the entrance exams, Go through well with the syllabus properly.

You can also prefer the book

Principles and Techniques of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology by John Walker
