But as per Pune University norms, only those candidates appeared for CAT, CMAT and MHCET Test can apply. Mat is not applicable in RIIM, Pune or any other college in Maharashtra.

Yes this is true if you give MAT entrance you will be not eligible to take admission in Maharashtra UNIVERSITY whether it is Nagpur University, Bombay University or Pune University. They evaluate on the basis of 10th, 12th  & Graduation percentage, Competitive Exam Percentile and after all the interviews. You can apply first, then they will conduct telephonic interview and Skype Interview. The cutoff varies based on each test. Only those who hold a Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate are eligible to apply for MBA and PGDM.

Admission will be through Institute level management entrance test- RIIM Entrance Test followed by GD and PI.
