Hello Student,
If we look at the past years' cut-off trends, it is unlikely that you will get a core branch, at least in the earlier rounds. However, there is a possibility of getting the branch in later or spot rounds. You might get a seat in branches such as chemical engineering and biotechnology, as these had higher cutoffs that were closer to your rank. It will be extremely difficult for you to get branches such CSE , ECE and Electrical Engineering , as these have higher closing ranks.
