The DGO (Diploma in Gynaecology and Obstetrics) is a postgraduate Obstetrics Diploma programme. This programme trains medical professors in specialties related to the field of obstetrics and gynaecology. The aforementioned programme, when combined with clinical training, allows a practising grad to be dexterous in the surgical management of the complete spectrum of clinical pathology relevant to female reproductive organs, and to care for both non-pregnant and pregnant patients.
Eligibility:
A minimum of 50% in the relevant field of undergraduate studies such as MBBS and BAMS is required to earn a seat in a diploma in Gynaecology and Obstetrics course. In addition to the fundamental eligibility requirements, students must pass national level admission exams like NEET and university level exams like AIPMT PG, JIPMER PG, and others to be considered for this degree.
Admission:
Admission will be determined on the student's performance in the All India NEET exams and the college's stipulated cut-off. The institution may conduct a counselling session to evaluate students; also, some schools provide their own entrance test on which admission is granted.
