Eligibility for du joint admission test

Delhi University Joint Admission test (DU JAT) is conducted for selecting students for admissions to the Undergraduate Management programmes offered by colleges which are affiliated to the University of Delhi.
It is a University level entrance exam and is conducted once a year. Through DU JAT entrance exam, admission is provided to Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) course offered by six stipulated colleges and B. A (Hons) in Business Economics and BBA (FIA) programmes offered by eight other colleges.
Eligibility Criteria for DU JAT
- Candidates who wish to appear for the DU JAT entrance exam should have cleared the Class 12th Board examinations. The Senior Schoool Secondary Examination must be conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or must be any other examination which is considered equivalent by the University of Delhi.
- Candidates who will be waiting for the result of their Board examinations are also eligible to apply for the exam.
- General category candidates are required to have scored minimum 60 percent marks in aggregate in four subjects.
- Four subjects should be English, Mathematics and other two subjects from the list of elective subjects as approved by the University of Delhi. List of elective subjects are Arabic,Bengali, Botany, Biology/ Biotechnology, Chemistry, Commerce/Business Studies, Computer Science/ Informatics Practices, Economics, English, French,Geography, Geology, German, Hindi Italian, LegalStudies, Mathematics, Persian, Philosophy, Physics, Psychology, Sanskrit, Sociology, Spanish, Statistics, Urdu, History, Political Science, Zoology, Home Science, Punjabi, and Accountancy.
- There is relaxation in marks of aggregate marks for candidates belonging to the reserved categories. SC, ST, PWD, CW category candidates are required to have 55 percent aggregate marks in each of the four papers considered for calculating the aggregate.
- Candidates belonging to the OBC NCL (Non Creamy Layer) should have 54 percent in each of the four papers considered for calculating the aggregate.
- Students who will be awaiting the Board results will have to produce the confirmed result and mark-sheet of the qualifying examination on the day of the DU JAT 2019 Counselling/ Selection Procedure for admission programs. Students who will fail to produce the same will not be eligible for admission and will not be allowed admission in BMS/BBA (FIA)/ B.A (Hons) Business Economics programs.
- Candidates belonging to the reserved category will have to produce the category certificate at the time of admission.
- Candidates with the status of failing in any subject or compartment in any subject will not be eligible for admission. - Candidates appearing for the improvement exam will also be not eligible for admission to the current year. Such candidates can appear next year for the admission.
Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Students
Foreign students can apply for admission against the prescribed quota of seats earmarked for them. Foreign students will have to apply through the Foreign Students Advisor.
Candidates fulfilling the Eligibility Criteria can apply online for the DU JAT exam form. DU JAT application forms will be available tentatively from the second week of May and the entrance exam is expecetd to be conducted on 22 June 2019.
DU JAT exam be a two-hour computer-based online exam. 100 Multiple Choice Questions will be asked in the exam. There will be 25 questions from each section in the exam. Four marks will be awarded for every correct answer and for every incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted. Exam will of total 400 marks.

Dear Arpit, for being eligible for DU JAT, candidates should complete their higher secondary education in any stream (Science, Humanities, and Commerce) from a recognised board and obtain a minimum score of 60% in four papers including English, Mathematics and other two subjects from the list of elective subjects as approved by the University of Delhi.
