Average candidates found their way to a good company with an average c t c of around 5 to 6 l p a. There were good profiles being offered.This is the C T C bracket where half of the c s e students would fall in.

Some bright students got their dream companies.Highest package being microsoft (24 lpa which later got increased by a very significant margin.I heard 30+ lpa from the guy who got placed.I can’t remember the exact figure.)

All the high scoring students were also placed in companies they would accept any day with open arms.

Few students got unexpectedly high packages from big companies.They never expected that for themselves.

Other students went for MS in renowned universities abroad.

There was only 1 mass recruiter which was accenture who took around 100 students mostly from ece followed by ise and cse. This number is far less than other colleges of Bangalore where Accenture, Infosys, TCS, Wipro all visited hiring many more.This is a good sign for pesit bsc since most of the students were already placed without having to call mass recruiters.

Placements for Information science were on similar lines but was not as good as compared to cse. Atleast half batch was still remaining to be placed while cse was almost done.Later most of them got placed.I Still don’t know why it happens because there is no difference in both of them except for a ‘c' and 'i' .

Ece department lacked core companies.Majority of the batch got placed but the average ctc will be low when compared to Cse and Ise.

Companies

To be honest ,this year PES was exceptional in placements and the kind of companies that visited PES were top notch.100 plus companies have visited the campus.Pesit main campus and PES university bagged most of the high packages and that too in double digits for companies offering double digit salary. The placements were comparable to any top IITs . Since,this was the first batch graduating from PES university ,college administration really focussed on their success and this is where pesit south got hit very hard.
