Chitra, for you to become an English professor, your minimum educational qualification should be Masters in English. Assuming you hold a Bachelors degree in Commerce, you should pursue MA in English. You are eligible for MA in English if you have studied English as a Paper in your Graduation. After MA English, you need to aopear for UGC NET which is the Common Entrance Examination for Assistant Professors. After putting up an experience, you become a professor. For becoming a Professot, you need to either have M.Phil or Ph.D

No, you cannot. You should have a Masters in English.

It is totally depends upon your choice or in that subject you have deep knowledge and interest so that you can score good marks in that subject and then you will become an expert of that field.
