One of the most important entities of any university, classes and the design of curriculum is very efficient at LPU. Instruction Plans are given out at the very beginning of the semester letting you get hands on information about every topic of the subject you are going to read, every reference you need to go through and stuff. Continuous assessments are an integral part of classes to make sure that students are learning whatever is being taught in th form of tests, term papers, case studies, mini projects etc. MTE and ETE (Mid terms and End terms) are the two major exams that a student has to appear for in every semester. The attendance rules are strict and anything below 75% will put you in the detention list. Academics are of international standards, faculties are very supportive and laboratory courses are properly designed. There are ample teaching and learning resources. LPU has more than 200 programs catering to every strata of student from the Diploma level to Doctoral level. Environment in classes mostly depends on the faculty and student interaction- they can be very boring or very interesting depending on your perspective.

LPU is one of the finest university that I know of. Be it academics, placements or extra-curricular activities.

About the university- It is situated in Punjab (Jalandhar).The campus is built over a huge area of around 600 acres of land and has the best facilities for the students.

I currently pursuing CSE at LPU. Being a student, I’ll share my points with all of you. Academically, it is the best private university which always focuses on learning outcomes by letting explore our capabilities.The curriculum blends in with the technology.

Frequent guest lectures/ workshops are also organized for us by the university. Recently, **Ministry of Science Technology’s Advisory Monitoring Committee Meeting was held where 42 Scientists from various top universities like IITs, NITs, top Central and State Universities including our university(LPU) from across the country presented their research proposals**

The faculty members are very knowledgeable in their respective fields. They are always ready to help us. During the exams, professors arrange special classes for the students to help them revise better and clear their doubts.

Apart from this, LPU has best lab facilities for each subject. Our department has a dedicated laboratory division with fully functional world-class equipment. A large library spread over 6 floors, with lakhs of books and resources. We can read and issue books on the weekly basis.

Now let’s talk about the activities. There are a number of activities conducted at LPU throughout the year. Various sports are structured. We can participate or play any sport according to our choice basketball, hockey, cricket, table tennis, volleyball etc.

Cultural events are very famous in the university like fashion shows, singing competitions, dancing competitions etc. Debate competition, speech competition are very common on the campus. These are usually organized to build up the confidence level and develop our personality. I recently participated in ‘One India-2018’ mega-fest. It showcased more than 160 festivals celebrated all across the country. It was so much fun.

The most important is the university placements which are quite decent as far as I can tell. Well-known companies including MNC’s visit the campus for the recruitment. Till now, Cognizant is the biggest recruiter. It has a record of placing 600+ students in a day.

I will highly recommended that if you really want to make your career with good level of education then you should go for LPU. When I was seeking college for admission for my graduation, I was quite confused. But after a long comparison with all relevant facts and figures I joined LPU and now I am an alumni of LPU and Decision for LPU was best decision of my life. LPU gave me extra edge in everything.
