Since India is the largest manufacturer of vaccines in the world, hence it has opted to use its own made indigenous vaccines against the covid-19 pandemic.

Several states and districts have been selected for the dry run process of vaccination in India, but the actual vaccination drive is yet to begin in the country and is expected to be started by the end of January or the first week of February.
