There are a total of 31 NITs, 23 IIITs and 23 other GFTIs that accept JEE Main's score. After a candidate qualifies, he/she has the option to give JEE Advanced which is the entrance exam for 23 IITs.
Some of the state governments accept JEE Main's score ( like MP) too while some of the state governments conduct their own entrance exam( like WBJEE).
