You will have to apply for VIT exam to get admission in VIT campuses.
Through Jee Mains you can get admission in the IITs/NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs whose admissions are based on the JEE (Advanced)/JEE(Main) ranks. Last date to apply for VIT entrance online and offline is Feb 28th, 2018.
