Hello Dear Student,
Yes, according to current JEE Advanced eligibility rules, redoing Class 12 through NIOS does not reset your eligibility window. IITs consider the first year you passed Class 12 as the official passing year. ( jeeadv.ac.in (https://jeeadv.ac.in/eligibility.html) )
So if you first passed Class 12 in 2024:
- JEE Advanced eligibility was only for 2024 and 2025 attempts.
- You would not be eligible for JEE Advanced in 2028 even after NIOS improvement/fresh exams.
However, you can still build a strong CS career through other paths like:
- branch change inside your current college,
- coding + internships,
- GATE/M.Tech later, or
- placements/off-campus software roles.
Also, NITs like National Institute of Technology Hamirpur are already very good institutes for tech careers if you perform well there.
Hope it helps!
