as many students got preparatory sc rank. so can I fill both nit and iit in registration form. so that if I dont get iit for preparatory course. I go for nit

Hello,

So, no you don't need to fill NIT college in registration. As you yourself mentioned that you are only eligible for prep course and that is only available for IITs and not NITs . You only need to select the IIT which if you qualify their test after prep course would take admission in. So, choose that wisely.
