i got 18k obc rank ,and open rank is 66k but i alloted nit srinagar with open category even i filled clgs wid obc rank around 20k first

In Csab round, only the vaccant seats in a category is alloted. But in case of using category rank they use general rank. For example if 5 seats in CSE at NIT srinagar is vacant in OBC category than that 5 seat will be alloted to OBC only but the rank use will be general rank. They will not use OBC rank.

but why in open and closing rank after they release 1st round, includes separate rank cutoff for different category like this https://csab.nic.in/Webinfo2018/Handler/FileHandler.ashx?i=File&ii=154&iii=Y
