Well 300 is not that good score to fetch you a government college as competition is very tough nowadays and moreover cutoff varies every year. And as the cutoff varies every year for any category as it depends on various factors but you can make out the query asked by you by checking out the cutoff ranks of the college you want to get in as the cutoff ranks for each govt college is different for each state and each college.
