I got 497 in neet 2019 and belong to OC.In Telangana MBBS counseling I got BDS in kaminani is there any chance for me to get MBBS? state

In the state of Telangana, a score of 493 got Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Adilabad in general category(UNR) and candidate had a All India Rank of 24025 in 2018. In LOC - general category candidate with 474 marks(cutoff) got the same college( Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Adilabad) in 2018. After first round counselling results, it is clear that cutoffs this year are going to be quite high.

With a score of 497 marks, your chances of getting government medical college  are there(better in LOC category) but not very high but you can be patient and always hope for the best .

Dear Sai, with 497 it might be a difficult position that you are in for a MBBS seat. This year the cut offs have gone way  higher and ranks dominated marks. In 2018 under State Quota 474 marks secured a seat in Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences. Having said that, cut offs change every year and are dependant on various factors like no.of seats available, no.of candidates appearing for the exam, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. This year cut offs have gone way higher and so it might be difficult for a MBBS seat with this score.
