If you are comfortable with the VIT's fees and location then definitely go for it. As it is also a good known Institute. For that you have to clear their entrance exam. Based on the ranks scholarship is provided.
If not, then take the drop. If you study well this time you can score more than 200 easily and grab a good NIT. You may also be able to perform good in Advance ( as no one knows what will happen in future). But it will take you a year. And that's a important aspect. Final decision will be yours, choose wisely.
