With a JEE Main rank around 12k, you actually have pretty good options.

You may not get top branches like CSE at the very top NITs, but you can still get strong colleges like:
• National Institute of Technology Durgapur
• Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology
• National Institute of Technology Hamirpur

for branches like Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil.

You also have very good chances in several IIITs for IT/ECE-related branches.

So overall, this is still a strong rank with many solid opportunities through JoSAA and CSAB counselling.
