Hey there, Navneet. The admission for B.A. (Regular) in Punjab University is done on the basis of merit and not on the basis of any Entrance Examination or Aptitude Test.

However, the candidate must meet the minimum eligibility criteria which is as follows:

-The candidate applying for B.A. Course must have scored more than 33% as aggregate in Class 12 Examination or Diploma from any stream.

-Around 2% concession in marks will be given for SC/ST candidates.

-The age of the applicant should not be more than 20 years on 1st August 2019.

Important Details for Admission in BA:

-The merit list will be calculated on the basis of marks scored in the five main subjects opted in Class 12.

-2% Additional marks will be given to candidates like you who have studied Economics if they will be taking admission in B.A. Economics.

Process of Applying for B.A. Courses:

-Visit the official website and click on Apply for Admission and then apply using your E-mail ID and Mobile Number.

-After registration, you will receive confirmation message and then you can Log IN to your account and click on Application Form on the options in Candidate Dashboard.

-Enter all the necessary details like Personal Informations, Marks scored in Class 10 and 12th, course you are opting for.

-After filling these information, upload all the supporting documents like Class 10 and 12th Marksheet, Photo, Signature. Click to proceed and preview the application.

-After previewing the application, you may click to proceed and then you will be carried forward on the fee payment page.

-After the successful payment, a SMS and email will be forwarded to you containing your Application Number. You need to keep your application number safe and wait for the publication of Merit List.

-Once the Merit List is published, you may visit the University and take admission.
