I passed class 12th with pcb in 2025. now I wish to join IISc via IAT. if I take maths on demand exam through NIOS in 2027, will that be enough? As in, will two different marksheets with two year gap be valid? please let me know what should I do?

This is an important eligibility issue. For the IISc BS (Research) programme, candidates are required to have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects in their qualifying Class 12/equivalent examination. The IISc admission notice also specifies that the Class 12 marksheet submitted should be issued by a single examination board.

Therefore, simply taking Mathematics separately through NIOS after completing PCB from another board may not automatically satisfy IISc's eligibility requirement, especially if it results in two different Class 12 marksheets from two boards.

Before taking the NIOS examination, you should obtain written confirmation from IISc regarding whether your proposed NIOS additional-subject qualification will be accepted for the 2027 IAT admission cycle. Do not assume that the two marksheets will automatically be considered equivalent.
