If for a given course in DU, the cut off list indicates 'closed', will an eca candidate still be able to take admission for that course?
Don't Miss: NIRF DU Colleges Ranking
Hey!
ECA candidates do not have any separate merit list, nor is their admission guaranteed if selected. The selected candidates are provided a maximum 15% concession in academic merit vis-à-vis Unreserved Category applicants for the last relevant cut-off.
The selection does not guarantee admission. Admissions under ECA category will only be allowed to applicants satisfying the course-specific minimum eligibility criteria, and the candidates will have to follow the usual admission process of cut-offs for their admission (with a relaxation in percentage, of course). And as for regular candidates, the "closed" cut off will not allow admission to ECA candidates.
Hope it helps!
