Hey Chitra,
I am assuming you are asking this question as a Class 12 student who is planning to appear for NEET 2018.
So first of all, you should know that it is absolutely compulsory for every student to qualify their Class 12 by individually passing and scoring the specified category-wise minimum aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Apart from this, you will also have to pass English.
SC category students are required to score a minimum aggregate of 40% across Physics, Chemistry and Biology. If you fail in Physics or Chemistry, the same will be reflected in your Class 12 marksheet and your qualifying status will be ‘Not Passed’. This will make you ineligible for NEET counselling regardless of what your NEET score is. So unless you qualify Class 12 by scoring the above mentioned marks, you won’t be eligible for MBBS admissions through NEET.
Also note that NEET is quite a tough exam. The syllabus for your Class 12 PCB and the questions asked in NEET is almost the same. 400 is a very decent NEET score and is sure to get admissions to MBBS seats under the SC category.
If you are confident of securing 400 marks in NEET, there is no reason why you should be worried about failing in your Class 12 Physics and Chemistry.
Prepare well and appear for your Class 12 and NEET with the same confidence. You will definitely be able to clear both with flying colours and get the MBBS seat of your choice.
All the best!
