Is doing bcom f&a and ca together in Christ University worth??
hello Anamika,
If you are a disciplined and focused kind of student, I suggest you to pursue CA and bcom simultaneously. CA foundation and 1st semester bcom are almost the same but the only thing is CA is a bit difficult compared to bcom as far as CA Foundation is concerned. BAF will absolutely right choice if we want to pursue CA with b.com
BCom with CA is divided into six semesters. Various topics such as financial accounting, economics, company law, corporate tax, auditing, business management, etc., and many more are present in BCom Syllabus to increase the skill threshold of the student.
The placements of B.com with the CA program is quite good . Companies like Axxela, Bain capability network, De Shaw & co, Boston consulting group, Kristal AI, Tresvista, Verity, Arcesium visited for campus placements in the year 2019-20. 77.35% of overall placement was recorded by the university in 2019.

BCOM (F&A) I would say you need to devote all your time to this course. The CA teaching is a bit slow but efficient if you attend all the classes. Class starts at 6:30 am and ends not before 5. You would be lucky if classes got over early. Bhavesh Rajani, the co-ordinator of CA programme is an amazing faculty wih great experience. What makes this course hectic is the mandatory need to participate in other events that the college organizes. If you could get away with that, this course is good.
By 2nd or 3rd year you’ll already be into a firm working as an article leaving college at 10:00am so you could give time for your articleship. You are expected to clear CPT in the first attempt if you are going to get coaching from college for the same. It is mandatory for one to go for the college coaching only.
At the end of the day , no pain, no gain. It’s hectic but worth it.
Hey Anamikha,
I have a friend in the department of professional studies itself. Doing Bcom F&A and CA together is really a huge task. College starts at 6:30am and goes on till 12pm, then you have CA classes till 6 pm. It means you'll have to spend 12 hours in the college only. By the time you get back, you'll be completely drained and you won't have the energy for self study. Waking up at 5:30 in the morning is a very tiresome schedule because if you sleep late, there's a chance you'll miss attendence for the first period, plus you have to maintain an attendance of 85% or you'll be fined if it gets below that.
Hope this helps, all the best.
