is this criteria of reservation in india is good?

There are many advantages and disadvantages because of this reservation , the main advantage about this reservation is  so many backward caste people poor people will get motivated and get free education and the educated people rate in india increases but coming to disadvantage  because of this many students who work hard may loose few opportunities as the person belongs to sc/ st gets rank 50k and the general category person get 20k then both are equal and sc /st people get more number of seats then general but there are more advantages and my answer is yes it is good to be reservation but few  changes should be there
