It depends on you are getting which NIT against VIT Vellore.

If we compare VIT Vellore from top NITs like NIT Trichy then according to careers 360 both have AAAA+ ratings which means outstanding.

In NIRF 2018 Ranking NIT Trichy is in 11th position, NIT Rourkela is in 15th position and VIT Vellore is in 16th position.

If you are getting top NITs you should prefer them but if you are getting any lower NITs you should gor for VIT Vellore.
