Hello Dear Student,
First, remember that for OBC-NCL seats in NITs and IIITs, the relevant cutoff is the OBC category rank , not the CRL rank. JoSAA explicitly uses category ranks for OBC-NCL seat allocation.
At an OBC rank of ~58k, CSE or AI/ML in NITs is very unlikely , even in the newer NITs. Recent NIT CSE cutoffs generally close at much lower OBC ranks.
You may have chances in some lower-demand branches during JoSAA or especially CSAB:
- National Institute of Technology Arunachal Pradesh – Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Biotechnology
- National Institute of Technology Mizoram – Civil, Mechanical, EEE
- National Institute of Technology Nagaland – Core branches
- National Institute of Technology Manipur – Core branches
CSAB special rounds can be more favorable because closing ranks often move significantly compared with JoSAA.
Hope it helps!
