⸕ call 7 6 7 6 0 8 0 0 0 8 for admission for With the onset of digital era you can do lots of stuff after taking CS ..open startups , learn ethical hacking and for many years now the demand of India CS engineers is very high in silicon valley ( yes trump has made some recent reservation but he will not always be there ) and in other parts of world too India CS engineers are required.

Work environment is way better than a civil engineer in most of the cases.

You guys have pretty good female ratio in class :p

If you get a decent college its most likely you will get placed.

Con's :

Too much saturation in your field ..every other guy wants to take CS as it pays big bucks.

You get mocked by civil, electrical, mechanical branch all the time as they think you are not a proper engineer unless you don't sweat it out in sun.

Most people after sometime get up being bored as your life reduces to your office block no outside experience.

Very few government jobs.

It was regularly ranked under top 40 if not top 30 in India and was on par with the top private universities in India atleast in CS.But with this great power came great responsibility. The management thought that it has nurtured the PES brand relatively well with students working at good industrial and academic positions across the globe if not atleast in India and Bangalore. They had decided to take PES to the top much like BITS Pilani which is undoubtedly the best Private Engineering College in India. But unlike BITS, PES could not attract top tier students because of primarily two reasons. First of all there is no quota whatsover in BITS whereas the management stopped intake from Comedk and instead started conducting their own exam called PESSAT on similar lines of BITSAT (Maths + English + Chem + Physics, I guess there’s logical reasoning also - not sure). Second, its brand is not as reputed as BITS. No offence, but the condition of the college started deteriorating because it wasn’t attracting the best minds in the country anymore. When PES announced that it would stop intake from Comedk and CET and only admit students through PESSAT, the Karnataka Government stepped in and disallowed this move saying that there should be atleast 50% reservation for students through CET
