It is totally wrong that a person in du will get more preference.Even it does not matter what was your study background.Here your preparation for SSC CGL matters, your rank matter, nothing more,so never believe in such things.this is a competitive exam and sometimes a poor guy after completing his graduation from somewhere rural area can crack this exam if with proper startegy.

In order to qualify SSC CGL, the candidate must be of a recognised university. You will have to clear all the tiers of the examination in order to qualify the exam. It wouldn't matter if you study in Delhi University or Maharishi Dayanand University.
