Suppose I get a certain college in the first round of AIQ counselling.How should i proceed for 2nd round of counselling for a bettercollege?

What i am trying to ask is that if i get a certain college X(say) in round 1,is there a chance that i can get a lower college than X(according to my preference list)in 2nd round?

Yes, there might be chances of getting lower college in 2nd round than the 1st. That's why it is mentioned by officials to be very cautious during the fresh choice filling in 2nd round.

See, there might be two possibilities  after the 1st round:-1- Didn’t got the seatThen, can go for 2nd round, submission of fresh choices for seat allotment and the choices submitted in round 1 will be treated as null and void. 2- Got a seat(I) Don’t want to join, no need to report or join the allotted college as there is free exit option(can still participate for 2nd round).(II) Want to join, report to the allotted college where choices will be (a) complete the admission formalities (want no up-gradation)(b) complete the admission formalities (want up-gradation in 2nd round and to hold up the seat, give the willingness for the same).NOTE: The bold letters are for your query in the comment section. Hold up(in bold letters) means that the seat will be reserved against your name in the allotted college of round 1 and can still participate in round 2. Hence, there is no need to select the same allotted college from round 1 in round 2. Hope this is clear to you. Sorry for late reply but on going through FAQs by MCC, if you got any college after 2nd round then its compulsory to join and if not reported or join, you'll forfeit your fee.And on searching and considering logically, the up-gradation means you want to get better college in round 2 than the round 1.
