To get admission in Karnataka for MBBS, should we register with MCC or is kea registration enough?
Hello!
MCC does counselling for All India Quota. So if you are not a domicile of Karnataka or if you have not completed your 10th and 12th boards from karnataka, and you wish to take admission in Karnataka colleges then you have to attend AIQ counseling and register for the same. However, if you are a resident of Karnataka then you can attend state counselling conducte by KEA. You can attend both counselling. If you wish to get any better college in other states, then All India Counselling is necessary. Otherwise, attending State counselling would be just fine.

Hey,
If you will get government medical colleges through 15% All India Quota in Karnataka, then you should register with MCC.
But if you are looking for admission in the private colleges in Karnataka, you should just register with KEA. Because the private medical colleges in Karnataka (except those coming under Deemed Universities) do not participate in all India counselling.
