The entrance examination required to get into indian institute of information technology pune (which is a institute for higher education established by MHRD)is JEE MAIN or Joint Entrance Examination -Main, Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main is the national level undergraduate engineering entrance exam. The entrance exam is the gateway for the admission to various B.Tech/B.E. programmes offered by 31 NITs, 23 IIITs and 23 CFTIs. admissions are carried by CSAB by joint seat allocation authority jossa .

- Candidates who have successfully cleared the Jee main are eligible to register for seat allocation.
