The best colleges for aeronautical engg in India are:

IIT Bombay.
IIT Madras.
IIT Karagpur.
IIT Kanpur.
IIST Tiruvanatapuram.
Madras Institute of Technology, Chennai.
Hindustan Institute of Engineering Technology, Chennai.

Different entrance exams are taken for admission in these colleges.The basic eligibility criteria for a BE / B.Tech Aeronautical Engineering Course is 10+2 or equivalent examination, with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and must have a fairly high percentage of marks in the aggregate. The average salary for an Aerospace/ Aeronautical Engineer in india ranges between INR 35, 000 to INR 1 lakh per month. The maximum salary offered to an Aerospace/ Aeronautical Engineer graduated from IITs is INR 30 lakhs per annum( in software field)
