Dear Aspirants,

In all the colleges there are some quotas for candidates to get admission. These colleges fill their seats on the basis of these quotas. The AIR or all india rank is what given on the national level. The admission on the basis of AIR falls under ALL INDIA QUOTA.

The other quota is state quota which is the quota for the students belonging to the same state in which the college is situated. Many states have the seats in their colleges reserved for students of their states.
