Nit srinagar though a very good campus does not have very high cutoffs.But cutoffs vary for differebt streams and also vary for the students of home state(HS) and outside state(OS).For home state students cut offs are usually low and become even low for less preferred courses.Talking about top courses for general category student a percentile of more than 94 can get you adnission there.
For outside students you need to score atlest a 96-97 for competitive courses.

For home state cut offs are low.It even fell to a rank of 200000 for metullurgical engineering.But as there are different cutoffs for different courses. Refer the site and you will get your branch wise analysis.

You need more than 95%ile to get into any of the NITs.You need a rank within few thousands.Each stream have different cut off .Usually core branch have high cut off.

If you are home state candidate then a little low marks can be helpful but if you are from other state you need to be upto the mark.
